Why We Standardised on TELETASK and Why That Made Us Bangalore's Only Authorised Integrator

Every KIVICH home runs on the same automation backbone. Here is why we chose TELETASK, what separates it from a collection of smart gadgets, and what being its only authorised integrator in Bangalore actually commits us to.

The problem we kept walking into

Before KIVICH, we kept seeing the same kind of "smart home" across Bangalore. The lights were on one app, the music on another and the security on a third. Each system was installed by a different vendor, and none of those vendors had ever spoken to each other. When something stopped working, nobody was accountable for it.

None of those products was bad on its own. The problem was that nothing tied them together. A home built that way gets more complicated with every device you add, which is the opposite of what automation is for.

So we made one decision before any other. Every home we deliver would be built on a single, proper automation backbone, and everything else we supply would be chosen to fit into it. That backbone is TELETASK.

A backbone, not a bundle

TELETASK is a Belgian home automation manufacturer. It designs and makes its own control units, wall interfaces and software, from the backend modules and the AUTOBUS cabling to the touch panels on the wall and the ATMOS app on your phone. Because one company builds every layer, one system can run a home's lighting, climate, shading, security and audio without translating between unrelated products.

In daily life, that means a single "Good night" touch can turn off whatever was left on, close the curtains and set the bedroom climate. The same scene works from the panel by the bed, a screen in the hallway or the app. When you change how a scene behaves, it changes everywhere at once, because there is only one system to change.

Compare that with a bundle of gadgets. Each device has its own app, its own update cycle and its own idea of how your home works, and "integration" usually means another app or hub on top. That can work in a small flat, but it does not hold together across a large home over many years.

Engineered for the life of the home

A home automation system should outlast the phone you control it from, so the manufacturer's track record matters. TELETASK has been designing its products in Ghent, Belgium, since 1984. Its products are designed, made and assembled in Belgium. They have been installed in more than 20,000 projects across over 40 countries, and have been in Indian homes for more than two decades.

The detail that convinced us is less glamorous: the mounting standard. Every panel in the AURUS family, and the PENTUS screen alongside it, shares the same mounting standard. A panel installed today can later be swapped for a newer or larger one in the same wall box, without new wiring or plaster work. In a home with stone, wood panelling or a finished paint scheme, that matters a great deal.

Interfaces people actually use

A system is only as good as the moment someone reaches for it. TELETASK offers a range of interfaces, so each room gets the right one rather than a tablet stuck to every wall:

  • AURUS: wall panels in seven variants, from a single elegant button to a full touch screen, in glossy black, glossy white, aluminium-grey or gold glass.
  • PENTUS: a compact 5-inch touchscreen that shows everything you can control in a room on one uncluttered menu.
  • OPUS: a 7-inch screen that adds a full video door station, shows up to 50 IP cameras and runs on a single PoE cable.
  • MAIOR: 10, 15 and 19-inch screens that display a floor plan of your home, with controls placed directly on it.
  • ATMOS: the app for iOS, Android and Windows, kept in sync with the panels on the wall.

You can see every one of these in person. We walk clients through the range on real hardware, so you can decide what goes in each room by using it.

What exclusivity actually means

Being Bangalore's only authorised TELETASK dealer and system integrator is not a badge we put on a brochure. It is a responsibility. If a TELETASK home in this city is not working as it should, it reflects on the brand and on us, so we work in a particular way:

  • In-house design and programming. Every TELETASK system we deliver is designed and programmed by our own team. Your scenes, schedules and logic are built around how you live, not a generic template.
  • Our own installation and commissioning. Our technicians install and wire each system, then commission it against your original brief before we hand it over.
  • Genuine supply. We deal directly with the brands we install. No grey-market imports and no third-party resellers.
  • One point of contact for the life of the home. Firmware updates, hardware service, scene changes and future expansion all come back to the same team.

The lighting, audio, cinema, curtains and security we supply are chosen with the same discipline. Each is specified to sit cleanly on the TELETASK backbone, so the home still works as one system.

Is TELETASK right for every home?

TELETASK is whole-home infrastructure, and it is at its best when it is planned with the building. The ideal time to involve us is during design or a major renovation, while cable routes, panel positions and ceiling details can still be decided together. If your home is already finished, talk to us anyway: a site walkthrough will tell us what is practical, and we'll be straightforward about it.

If you'd rather see it than read about it, book a visit to our experience center in HSR Layout and try the system yourself.
